so i just bought a handgun by doing a person to person via consighment at a local shop.... how long do i have to wait to buy another pistol????

The 30-day rule does apply to USED guns, if bought/transfered from a dealer.

The better way to explain it is that the 30-day rule applies to dealer transfers/sales for ALL handguns, NEW or USED, with some exceptions. One exception is for PPT transfers, another is for cosignment sales through a dealer. There is also an exception for ALL handgun transfers if the buyer has a C&R FFL + COE.

And yes, you need to confirm there aren't any local regs on the subject, Like LA city regs.
