experience with Taran Tactical trigger upgrades?

Does anyone have experience with the Taran Tactical trigger job? Im looking for reviews online, but I've been unsuccessful. Hoping to find out whats the difference between the much more expensive trigger job, vs their connector kit, which are both supposed to bring the trigger pull to about the same weight.

I don't know about their trigger job, but their connector kit is great. I had a Apex trigger assembly and ghost connector in my G34 and it was mushy, I installed the Taran connector kit and it's a nice and clean break now.

A little off topic, but I had Taran Tactical do a grip reduction, undercut and stippling job on my Glock 19 & 35 frames a few years ago and I really like the work they did.

if the connector kit is that good, its definitely going to be hard to justify the approx $250 price difference.

Bobby that trigger job he does I am sure can be felt by someone who has experienced excellent triggers.
I do geometry changes on the shoe and trigger bar and can make an unbelievably awesome Glock trigger. But most would not feel a difference unless they felt my trigger and a stock Glock at the same time.
The connector and a lighter striker spring hands down is the best value. Beyond that you have dimenshing returns as the price moves up.

I absolutely love great triggers in handguns and don’t shoot anything regularly I haven’t modified. But I do a lot of slow fire accuracy stuff with a handgun and this is where you notice it the most in feel.

I think you'll be pleased OP. The 3.25 kit made my G17 my favorite shooter.

so just installed the connector kit along with doing a 25 cent trigger job... i noticed that when removing the slide, 80% of the time i have to push the plunger down to let the firing pin drop so i can put the slide back on. Any idea whats causing this?

The gun was just purchased yesterday so idk if it did this before.

                  First guess?

Trigger bar is up preventing the slide- pull the trigger and hold it as you re-engage the slide.

If not- then the plunger/firing pin safety spring is not installed correctly.

i took it all apart and noticed i just had to put a tad of downward pressure on the rear slide. all fixed now

trigger is super smooth and very light. reset is sweet too

Really depends what you are using the gun for, if it is a work gun/carry gun. I would just go with the connector and maybe a trigger return spring. If it’s just a range/target gun then go all out, striker spring and plunger spring. But be prepared for an occasional light primer strike and check to be sure the trigger spring is letting your trigger reset far enough forward that the trigger safety clears the frame and resets.

I had two guns with the complete competition spring kit, my triggers were fantastic on both, but I soon grew weary of them being ammo finicky and the occasional light strike. Ended up putting the stock striker spring back in, if it’s a dedicated target/competition gun, that you will always run tailor made ammo for it’s not a problem. I reload all my range ammo if I always used Remington primers, it would not be an issue. But with CCI or Winchester that have harder primers you can and will get FTF every once in a while.

I see no need to get aftermarket triggers for Glocks, it’s not like a M&P where it’s a world of difference for the price you pay. My perfect Glock trigger is a minus connector and a 6lb trigger spring, I’m good with the ‘mush’ of the minus.
Im a warmonger baby, I got blood in my eyes and I'm looking at you.

Just curious, but will the connector kit linked to in the OP work on a Gen 3 Glock 17?
