    Help Identify Part

Finally got my Beretta 92fs out to the range. Firearm ran flawlessly. I took a quick look over everything and had a question about what this part is and if it should be sideways like it is. From what I can tell, it looks like it might hold the extractor in place. I don't remember if it was shaped like this before firing, but I thought I check with you guys anyway.

I don't see any problems. What part in the photo exactly are you referring to?

The slide is chisel peened over on each side of the extractor pin to keep it from coming out.

Sorry if I wasn't clear. The part that you called the extractor pin. My question is the top of the pin angled?

The little red painted tip near the chamber?
That is your loaded chamber indicator.

                Let's take a Look-See, hhmmm.

That-ta, ah, ah, yep. That's it. An official Beretta 92 Part for sure.

                      ^^^^^
The extractor is about the 10 o clock position.
The pin hole needs to be angled so the extractor pivots at the same angle.

If the extractor was at 9 o clock position the hole would look "normal" and not offset.
