Glock Sights Off Centered From Factory and Tool Question?

I just want to check if this is normal or the standard configuration before I adjust it out of the box.

I have Trijicon HD XR's on hand but plan to shoot it stock first.

Stock plastic sights seems like it is drifted a bit to the right as shown on the picture below.

    Edit:

I just noticed that my Truglo Front Sight Tool does not have clearance. Nut head and slide barely has space in between. Am I supposed to loosen it first with needle nose pliers?

Shoot it as is and it's now normal for Glock sights to not visually be exactly centered upon delivery.

Whether it shoots to point-of-aim for you or not is really irrelevant as you'll have new sights soon, at which point you'll be sighting-in again anyway.

I have a couple pistols that have off center sights to be properly aligned to shoot straight. Some slides just come off the production line a little off, but are still within acceptable tolerances. It's just the way it is sometimes. Luck of the draw.

Your rear sight does not look offcenter to me. It looks like your picture was taken from a slight angle, giving the appearance of the sight being offcenter. But if you look at the left and right edges of the sight, they seem to be equidistant from the outer edges of the dovetail.

As for the front sight removal question, I would just align the tool as close as possible to the hex head, apply pressure, and try to turn it.

It's probably because Glock knows you're going to change out those sights anyways.

Thanks for the input. I’m pretty good at finding flaws lol. I selected the best picture which one would see when looking straight down. I have a pic where it shows even but not with the naked eye.

In regards to the front sight, there is really no clearance. I don’t think there is a tool sight tool of any brand that would fit. Again, is this normal that I need to use needle nose pliers to initially loosen it and eventually use the tool. I just don’t want to break anything out of the box

The Glock Front Sight Tools 3/16" hex head work. A number of manufacturers make them.

I have this and it does not fit..no clearance between nut and slide.

New newest glock is like that. I filed the outside of my sight tool so I could get some bite on the hex head.

It's doable, You just need to use some finesse!

That rear sight looks OK to my eye but the photo cannot pick up what your naked eye can. If it's off just tap it over!

The plastic rear sight can be pushed out with just hand pressure. Use a small piece of wood to do the actual pushing.

On Glocks, metal rear sights can sometimes be pushed in my hand to about 80-90%. Then gently tap it to center.

Your Glock sights look fine, have you shot it yet?

You bought a $500 gun so what do you expect? Just go shoot it and show us your shotgun looking target. Changing sights isn't going to help that much. Good luck.
