New class action suit: Older P320 can shoot out of battery due to faulty disconnect

Allegedly the suit implied that Sig like the drop safety issue knew about this as well even before the testing. And that they quietly changed the disconnect design without informing their customers.

Thoughts, concerns? Maybe the Army should have picked Glock...

It will be interesting to see where this goes, especially since Sig's info page about the P320 recall specifically calls out that they are updating the disconnector.

The P320® Voluntary Upgrade Program is a SIG SAUER initiative to upgrade P320 pistols at no additional cost.

    Updated Slide

The updated slide will feature a disconnect notch near the striker assembly. This is a mechanical improvement over the previous commercial series of P320 pistols.

I never understood the appeal of this handgun? I understand the P365 has alot to offer for ccw but that other gun. I dont know. It seems if you wanted to go with a different size gun, then buy a different sized gun. It makes sense for Military but not civilian.
And to top it off, its ugly. And people say Glocks are ugly.

The gun made a lot more sense when conversion kits weren't the cost of a complete Glock. Mine's nice and all...but Sig lost a LOT of goodwill when they decided to write off those of us who bought the Gen1 guns.

            It beat the Glock.
