    Colt King Cobra Question.............

I've always been a Smith revolver guy, but I've been offered an opportunity to purchase a 1988 Colt King Cobra stainless w/ four inch barrel. It comes with the original box and everything that came with it. Condition wise, it looks pretty mint.

I've seen prices range all over the board from $1400 to $2300 for the same Colt, most not including a box. Like I said, I'm not really a Colt guy, but they do seem to appreciate quite a bit. It's been offered to me for $1400.

EDIT: Also, this has a Bright Mirror Stainless finish (first year manufactured was 1988), not the standard Matte Stainless finish. See further description below #5.

    Thoughts?

Sounds like a steal to me. My brother in law has one. It's a great piece!

I have a 6” stainless with the blue plastic case and manual. I’ve been offered $1500 for it and heck no I’m not selling. The 4” is more preferred, so $1400 is a fair price even at free state pricing.

The King Cobra is a beautiful, but rugged revolver.

I should have mentioned that this is the Bright Mirror Stainless (1988 first year manufactured), which appears to carry a $400-$800 premium price over the Matte Stainless finish. I took a few pictures of the firearm and box and on the right hand corner of the box under FINISH it says BRTSTS.

I did some quick research on Gunbroker and there are two Colt KC for sale. One is a matte finish 4" that has a current bid price of $1,619 with 4 days to go on the auction. The second is a 6' KC but with the Bright Stainless and has a current bid of $2,525.00 with 9 hours to go.

          I'm thinking that this is a no-brainer........
