when someone who is roster exempt decides that he/she doesn't want it anymore and puts it up for sale.

Actually not true. There have been a few ads in the Marketplace already. Not cheap though.

            Ok, serious answer:
They are not currently available for sale in California as they do not meet the criteria of the California Roster of Handguns. However if you are exempt from the roster you can purchase one. Otherwise you can only get one through Private Party Transfer from someone who is exempt from the roster, who owns one already, and decides to sell it.

Though the OPs question was not totally clear if he meant available via the roster. My assumption was that was the question.

I saw a few in the MP from $1800-$2000. Fricking nuts for a $500 plastic gun.
Oh well, the sellers will have an early Christmas and some sucker will get "took".

We should be allowed to call stuff like that and not be labeled as thread crapping. I mean, c'mon a $1500 mark-up.

Got any parents or children that live out of state and like you enough to send you a gift?

That and PPT or LEO as stated above.

Personally I think it's overpriced at $500. I'm not in CA and I'd still rather have a Kahr (on the roster) for half the price.

So you might want to change your name to Kahrstroker

I have shot one. For $500 I think it is a no brainer to buy (if you are a Glock/Shield type of CCW guy/gal, not a 1911/steel kind of gun). The frame feels a little blockly/different compared to a G43/Shield but considering it is a subcompact gun with a 10+1 capacity pistol, it is very shootable.

I think the lack of availability in Kali is that there are still waiting lists in the free states for the dealers to fill.

For $750 or more, it is not for me.
