What pistol is Bosch packing?

Streaming the latest season of Bosch, and the gun in the lead-in catches my attention. It has a proper hammer, but what is it?


Later, they show a close-up, and that trigger gives it away: in my non-expert opinion, a 1911! But which one? Or did I get it wrong?



The show takes place in Los Angeles, with lots of handguns, so definitely on-topic for this forum.

When I saw some of the episodes, it was like cool! 1911! Only pistoleros carry that one. Not for beat cops, or even most detectives right? I thought that only SWAT could carry a 1911.

I'm not enough of an expert on 1911's so I couldn't tell you which brand it is.

Umm.... It's a TV show.
TV desk jockeys can carry a Desert Eagle AE50 if that's what the director asks for.

People above nailed it. Between the three-hole pattern in the trigger and the front serrations, it's gotta be some kind of Kimber, maybe a Custom II. Someone could go full CSI and try to do color manipulation to read the roll mark in the second picture to know for sure.

Love mine. Reliable and groups pretty darn well.

I used to work with a guy who carried a high mileage Kimber TLE, he told me he has shot roughly 75,000+ rds down the pipe.. Still going strong!
