I want to make an AR pistol and from what I can tell, despite the internet saying its very hard to, it's still possible. I called the CA DOJ and all they said was that it needs to comply with CA Penal Code 30515 (I think), which is the assault weapons section. What I got from it was that, since it is a pistol, it just needs to not have a stock, and have a non-detachable magazine, no threaded barrel, as well as no vertical grips. Since it is a pistol I would assume it only falls under the pistol part of the AW penal code.
Can anyone please provide me with more information about making an AR pistol and/or let me know if I'm wrong about something? I really want to make this thing but I want to do it legally.
