    CZ poly vs metal ergos

I love my Sigs but keep hearing great things about the CZ shadow and other CZs. I'm in a free state for a short period longer until I'm moving back to CA or another gun unfriendly place for work so I'm trying to get anything I may want, but can't buy everything.
My local gunshop doesn't have any metal CZs, only the poly ones like the P09. I hated the P09 ergos. I'm tempted to place an order on some CZ metal pistol but wondering if it's better spent on something I know I like.

So, if I hated the ergos of the P09, would I hate all the compact/full size metal CZs?

Get either the CZ Shadow 2 or Tac Sport Orange. Have the shop order it for you. You will not be disappointed as if you don't like it for any reason, you can easily sell it in CA when you come back. Don't even bother with the polymers. People say the CZ P-10C is nice but I didn't care for it. I was not impressed by either the P-07 or P-09. Maybe get the SP-01 Phantom if you want polymer.

But if you love Sigs, my recommendation is to get the P210A target.

As i see it, the CZ steel/alloy framed pistols frame design is much different the the P-series poly framed pistols. The internal mechanics are also different. The P series uses the Omega trigger system while the non-Omega steel/Alloy frames use the classic 75 trigger system. I prefer shooting and working on the classic trigger system.

I can not tell you if you will appreciate the design of a CZ steel frame as much as i do but they are quite different to the poly frames. If possible i suggest finding one to hold and shoot. Things should become clear quickly if this is an option.

If you decide to order a metal frame CZ without trying one first and you do not like it, an upside would be that if it is off list it should resell quickly in CA at a mark up.

I can not comment on the P10-C, i have not had the opportunity to hold one.

The only grip from CZ that I consider it as ergonomic is the rubber grip from the model SP-01. The SP-01 with manual safety is on CA roster. The decocker (Tactical model) is not.

Having said that, ergonomic grip does not always equate to shootability.

I could not get a good grip on the p09. It felt like no matter how I adjusted my hand the grip was loose in some direction.
The problem of buying the metal cz to try would be I wouldn't be able to buy something else to try. The shadow 2 blue looks sweet and has great reviews but if it feels similar to the p09 then I'd pass and put that money towards other pistols.
There's a new shop/range opening and I'm hoping they have one but for now I'd have to drive a couple hours to another shop to test, which is an option but that's 4 hours of driving range trip
