Sig P6, keep as is or change something?

Now that a lot of you have had your P6's for a while, what changes or modifications have you made and what do you recommend/not recommend for a new P6 owner?

    Thanks,

New mag springs are a must. Most of the feed problems you hear about with JHP is because of worn mag springs. I also changed the recoil spring and I'm going to change the firing pin spring and mainspring next.

Sold mine cause I wasn't satisfied with it and didn't want to pay upgrades.

If I had kept it, better sights and grips would have been on the top of my list and maybe a less cheezy looking trigger (if they're made).

I got pachymar grips for mine because I got gunscrubber on the stock grips and they started to dissolve

I like mine and still have it. Maybe I'll do something to the grips.

I like my three p6's as is, that I bought at RCGE.
The only thing I did was paint the front sights
flourscent pink for better sight acquisition,
              and buy extra mags.

Oh and I did repaint one of them a few times.

Thanks for the replies. I ordered one last week and it should be here tomorrow.

Do you guys know which 3-dot sights are the least expensive, Not tritium, just regular 3-dot sights?

I was looking thru the parts list from midwayUSA for this gun and they sell new factory grips, right and left halves separately for $8 each.

Haven't changed mine one bit. It came with that crappy holster, but looked better than any of my other Sigs. Ha, haven't fired it that much either yet and haven't cleaned it once. I DO love the thing though. It's usually my "loaner" gun when we're going to the middle of nowhere and someone doesn't have a gun.

Still love mine, when I got it I installed the Top Gun spring kit and a 19# Wolff main spring.

I also replaced the the hooked hammer with a standard one, to be safe I threw in a new sear, but then it didn't decock normally so I also had to change out the decocking lever.

Really though IMHO, mag springs, recoil spring, and 19# mainspring is all that's really necessary.

Sig Factory Contrast sights, but they're not 3 dot.

Other than new springs, I haven't done anything to mine. I bought this gun because it was a hell of a good deal for a quality pistol. Not going to ruin that by throwing all kinds of money at it.

Gyff, you've got my reason down pat too. Why spend an extra couple of hundred on it if I could have just bought a new or refurb 229 for the same price? I bought it 'cause it was a good solid $300 Sig that I could rely on and beat up and not mind if I scratch it up.
