Beretta PX4 Storm - Thoughts?

Well with the my salary decreasing, my gun buying ich increasing and Sig screwing people with only one magazine now I'm looking at other options. I don't particularlly like the CZ-75 and I'm looking for something similar to a P226 (SA/DA, 9mm, decocking lever, rail optional). I know that the Sig and CZ are steel frames but I think I'm going to have to find other options. I have a Springfield XD already and looking for a 9mm companion. One of the guns I've looked at is a Beretta PX4 Storm. Seems like a good gun. the one I handled was well balanced and seemed well made. I thought I would ask the CalGun Bretheran if anyone has any experience with this pistol, good/bad/reviews, or if there are other options that i should consider. Also, I prefer not to get a 1911 9mm at this point. If I get a 1911 it's going to be a Les Baer TRS once the money comes back. =]

I have the PX Storm in 9mm for my house gun. Great so far.
Have about 200 rounds thru it, of problems.
I recommend it.

I have a XD45TAC and was trying to get the Storm in 45 nogo in California. I shot one in Vermont I loved it very smooth, sweet gun you will like......Mac

I have a PX4 in .40. I have about 1000 rnds through it without a single problem. So, I say go for it.

Like with any gun try to rent one and fire it before buying. I had read lots of good reviews of the PX4 and after I had bought one I found that it just wasn't my cup of tea and sold it. While I did have it, I had no problems with it, I just couldn't shoot it as accurately as I wanted to.

I don't know why the hype of sigs, go with the beretta you won't be disapointed.

+Very forgiving for those with limp wrists/new users. (Rare stovepipes/brass to forehead.)

+Standard marketing stuff about including 3 backstraps, easy to field strip (guide rod & spring are 1 piece), soft felt recoil.

-Some people feel a trigger sting with the .40.

-(Not so) 'Super'luminova paint falls off after 1-2 cases of ammo. Use white paint, white-out, or glow in the dark paint to replace it when it falls out.

+/-Mag release can be adjusted for left-handers.

+/-If you buy one with a safety you can change it to just decock fairly easily.

And finally,
+Comes with a free small blue plastic cup with the Beretta logo that holds enough liquid to celebrate your purchase with!

AMAZING ergonomics. Great pistol. Mine replaced my G19 (which now sees mostly darkness unless I happen to open my safe).
