Purchasing a Handgun

My current address is in San Bernadino County; I have a utility bill that matches the address on my DL. My question is, can I purchase a handgun in a different county (I am in the bay area for a few weeks) with the documents I have now?

Make sure if you do it that you buy from a dealer that will release on undetermined.
