    RUGER SP101 9mm QUESTION

Is it possible to fire this gun without using the moon clips..? I haven't picked up the gun yet, but noticed during the DROS that the moon clips were not in the case. I checked with Ruger and the package is supposed to include 3 clips.

Page 20 of the manual says it can be fired without moon clips.

Check the manual in the box, maybe the moon clips slipped in between pages. They are usually in a small plastic bag that is easy to go hiding or missing.

After you double check if there not there give Ruger a call. I’m sure they will send you some. And yes you can fire without moon clips, you just might have to poke out the casings with a stick.

I know this is oddly mildly related but the .327 mag will fire .32 acp with no moon clips but you have to use a pencil to eject each spent casing from the cylinder
Buying a safe and sane firework is like paying a hooker for a hug. I do not see the appeal in it.
