    New Sig 226

Got my new handgun today. My first sig. 226 Very nice.
took it right to the range, and at 7 yards it was consistently firing about 5 inches low with Bear russsian ammo.
Is this normal for this range with these or is this the ammo?

Check the numbers on the sights. (left side for front sight and front on the rear sight). They normally come with front and rear sights #8's. It it is different, you may have to change the sight.

As the numbers increase, per each number:

Rear sight raises the point of impact 2"
Front sight raises the POI 1"

Before you change the sights though, I would shoot it on the bench or pistol rest wiht the main ammo to be sure. My training ammo and Ranger SXT have slight point of impact change, not very much. That is why I always shoot SXT ammo for practice or real.

Also, make sure you are not flinching.
