TRP or MC OP

Help me decide between the two. I had been planning on a TRP, but after handling the MC Operator I'm torn. The light rail is not a necessity for me, I'm just trying to figure out if the added cost of the TRP is really justified in comparison to the MC Operator. I believe the TRP slide/barrel/bushing are hand fitted?

Does anyone here own both? Did you think the TRP was worth the additional cost? Your input is appreciated.

What I mean is....do addl fit and finish matter to you?

IMO< If you really care about the details...then get the TRP...otherwise you really won't notice a difference just shooting them.

If you are OK with the 20 lpi front strap on the TRP, I would go with it. The TRP is a good bang for the buck.

Do you want a slide that says "tactical" ? I didn't so I went mc operator.

TRP if you gonna shoot it. I went with MC operator but I beat it up like it owes me money. I would best up the TRP also. I just could not find one in time. The seems much at first but when you do not have it you need it. Cannot go wrong with either one. Go TRP if you can get one.

I prefer the trp. I've gotten more into the Springfields and I would go for the trp. I thing the MC OP and the long beach OP are amazing guns but they are just glorified TRPs for the most part. Also, I would suggest the TRP in 10mm if you can get one.

I have two Springfield Loaded model .45s... one of them is the MC Operator. I'd like a TRP, but I have yet to shoot up to the level of these two pistols. They're fantastic, and far better than anything (near their price point) you could have purchased years ago without first sending it to the smithy.

Both nice. Depends if you want to follow standards. MC is field serviceable with a standard bushing and barrel while TRP needs a hex wrench, extended mags, and uses a bull barrel (though they seem to be moving back to the standard bushing/barrel style). You can go for a more comfortable 30lpi later on with the MC.

Hand fitting is overrated. You can find owners of TRP, SA Pro, and other custom named 1911s having issues.

Run some 320 sandpaper over it just a touch...to take the edge off. [not too much] Its great now...and visually you have to look real hard to even see anything was done
