    Sig Problems:P320 X Carry vs P229

I have exactly $800 in credit with Budsgunshop. I'm looking for my next hand gun.

    Purpose: 10% carry, 80% range fun, 10% 3gun/USPSA.

Preference: As far as DA/SA i like both and I love SIGs.

I'm torn between the P229 Extreme edition and P320 X Carry. Both have 3.9 inch barrels and various other feature

    Thoughts?

Get both then sell the one you don’t want to keep, but more than likely you’ll be keeping both.

If you're roster exempt get the 320, enjoy it for a year, then if you're tired of it, sell it PPT.

Well... The X-Carry uses a full sized grip so it'll be harder to conceal. Depending on the size of your hand that may or may not be ideal for you. The X-Carry is lighter with a flat trigger that uses a rolling break. It won't be a wall type like the P229 with SRT, which IMO is the best out of the box system out there.

Since it doesn't appear that roster is an issue. Take a look at the P229 Classic Carry. They rebuilt it based on the legacy P229 non-rail, however note that it uses the pre-P229-1 magazines, so it has the smaller P228 magwell. The grips aren't made by Hogue and are thinner than the OEM G-10 grips. There is a P226 option also and Bud's has them both.

thanks for the feedback. I'm not in cali anymore, so I'm free and buy whatever I want. Though I still visit cal guns and my friends n cali about once a year. I'm still torn. Will update after purchase

Just curious.. With an x-carry will you be able to. Build a who different sig gun since the trigger pack is the registered part? Ie whole new frame slide and barrel?

Yes, it's the same FCU, just with a flat trigger.

I have both the P320 RX and X5. Doing a quick swap of top ends leave me with just one working gun. The RX top end will not reset the trigger with the X5 FCU. The RX is a pre drop safe model whilst the X5 is a drop safe model.

I'm sure that you know how to remedy that, yes?
