They'll allow you to shoot it on the range, but they probably don't want you shooting .223 at the swinging steel on the 35, 50, 70 and 100 yard line. The plates with the base should be A-ok but double check with the staff first.

very cool pistol/rifle? I know what they do not allow however, or should I say a certain line officer there won't allow... he wouldn't let my friend shoot his Wolf .223 because according to him, "its steel". Sure its steel cased ammo but even after holding up the round to the magnet to show it is indeed not steel core ammo, he insisted on being a dick and said "it doesn't matter, its steel" and confiscated all the ammo. So while you may be able to shoot your AR pistol there, just don't shoot Wolf .223 because "it is steel".

I've never been hassled for shooting anything there. Most of them are pretty cool...

I was pulling .308s out of stripper clips for my M1a and nobody said a peep.. It wasnt steel core so I would have been ok.. But they didnt check at all.

They get a $1 bounty everytime they confiscate steel ammo.

I've shot Wolf steel case ammo w/ non-magnetic bullets without any issues at Angeles. If you look just in front of the benches, you'll see thousands of steel cases in the dirt.
