What is the difference between a RTF and a RTF2 Glock?
The roster lists two Glock RTF2 pistols (17 and 22). I have seen guns online listed as RTF instead of RTF2. Is there a difference or are they the same gun?

I believe that rtf and rtf2 are the same grip pattern on the Gen3 frames...the rtf3 is avaiable on the gen 4 and its is a different texture.
Some RTF2's have fish gills and some dont. Fish gills are very rare and desirable. If you have found one.. BUY IT.. or let me buy it! I suggest Google.....

RTF = Rough Textured Frame
Gen 1 = non-RTF
Gen 2 = RTF
Gen 2.5 = RTF
Gen 3 = RTF or RTF2
Gen 4 = RTF3
Gen 4.5 = RTF3
Gen 5 = RTF3
RTF was created as a replacement for the orignial non-RTF, because of end-user feedback wanting a more secure feeling grip.
RTF2 and RTF3 were created due to end-user request for a more secure grip for use in humid/wet environments.
^RTF2 ended up as a specific duty use texture and RTF3 ended up being the new texture for Gen 4-5.
*RTF2 was determined to be too harsh/rough for conceal carry due to the texture accelerating the wear on clothing and being uncomfortable against bare skin.
Some sellers advertise RTF2 as RTF, mostly because they are too lazy to research the difference and/or because of ignorance on how Glock differentiates RTF.Last edited by Quiet; 03-17-2018, 7:00 AM.sigpic
