Changing CZ 75b single action trigger

I got a 75b single action. High expectation or bad luck, it is really sucky. Long story short, the trigger is seriously sub par. Not breaking clean, gritty, long travel, etc. I also dislike the shape and feel of this straight trigger. The trigger looks and feels like roughly shaped pot metal.

Question is, can an old style CZ 85 curved trigger be installed in the 75b single action frame?? Thanx.

Did you swap the hammer for the CZ Custom or the Cajun Gun Works hammer? Those hammers really improve the trigger break.

Unfortunately too many people hype up CZ's. They are good guns but definitely need to be upgraded with CGW stuff to be awesome. If you just change the trigger to something else, you will still have the exact same feeling trigger. Definitely need to upgrade to a different hammer.

Not sure if the 85 Combat trigger can be used on a 75 SA. You can always contact CGW and ask them.

Yes, an old style 85c (DA/SA) trigger can be installed in a CZ75 SA frame. The catch here is that SAO triggers are designed for SAO. Many of the available SAO trigger have two set screws in them that allow you to adjust out the Pre-travle and Over-travle. Due to the SA/DA design of the 85c trigger even if it had both adjustment screws, the Pre-travle set scerw would not do anything in an SAO configuration. With the hammer down the trigger would be floppy without the disconector installed.

If you are really set on the curve of an 85c trigger i might suggest thinking about converting the pistol to DA/SA config. DA/SA conversion requires a few parts. A disconector, a DA/SA trigger (like the 85c) and a hammer with a second hole for the disconector.

It may be worth while to explore some of the other currently available SAO CZ triggers. A few that i can think of are listed below:

I also agree with Litespeeds about the hammer upgrade. If the SA trigger creep is really bugging you a race hammer from one of the custom shops is how you get rid if it. I suggest that you break the pistol in first if possible. A factory CZ is not the same as a well broken in CZ (aprox. 500-1000 cycles).

Yup, the stock CZ triggers all need a bit of work to truly shine. I would call Cajun or CZ Custom and have a chat with them. Once you get it tuned up you'll see what the hype is really about.

Sounds like OP needs to send it off for custom shop mods.
I usually try the handgun's trigger before I throw down $$$ and write up the fed forms etc., but that's just me.
My 75's trigger got better with use. Not sao tho.
Burn more ammo in it and give it a chance. >500+ rds anyway
