Remove parts, WD-40, Scrub, re-oil. This is assuming it's surface rust.

Of course replacing the parts is another option.

Remove parts.

Clean with nail polish remover.

Rinse with water.

Apply T-4

Wait 10 minutes or so then rinse well and then oil.

Works thru oil and rust but even better on clean parts. In my experience can convert light surface rust Fe2O3 to bluing Fe3O4.
