    S&W M28-2

I found this 28-2 today at a LGS. It has quite a bit of holster wear, but like every one of these I have ever seen, it locks up tight as a bank vault and the double action trigger is as smooth as buttered glass and the single action breaks clean at about 2 ish pounds. For $400 OTD, it was a no-brainer and it came home with me.

        Nice gun, I like it.
$400.00 OTD would never happen in CA, congrats.

When I had 35 pistols, I had only one wheel gun: the 4" version of the same 28-2. S&W told me mine was from 1976. It is an awesome gun! Love the N-frame S&W, and would have added yours for that price! Congrats!

I’m glad I live in CA - if I lived elsewhere I’d probably be broke and divorced!

I am driving to Nevada and follow this guy around like a puppy dog every time he goes shopping at the local gun shops.

The 28s are great revolvers, congrats.

There is no secret to it:

The thing is to know what you are looking at and what the market price is, then, if it's a good deal, don't hesitate. If it is priced well, by the time you go home to ask your wife's permission, or talk to your buddies or ask the internet's permission, someone like me will swoop in and grab it and you will have missed out. I might add that new guns hold absolutely zero interest for me. I couldn't care less what the latest new gun is and I always go to the used gun section.

This is the second decent deal I have scored in the last week. Prior to getting the Smith, I stumbled onto this 1928 vintage Colt M1903 with six magazines in a trade for some car parts.
