Actually that was the 1930s. People did the cutaway trigger guard on 1911s too. I got in law enforcement in 1979 and by then no one had that abortion done to any handguns.

"Blue Bloods" is just B.S. drama. "Hill Street Blues" was a much better 'police show'. Currently on NetFlix is "Longmire" which is a better thought out police drama.
