which is better, glock 19 or springfield XD 9mm

i really like the way the glock 19 feels in my hand. it weighs only 20 oz. really light so its easier to aim, point and shoot.

the springfield XD weighs about 28 oz which is a lot heavier. kinda have to struggle to aim and point because its heavier. it does have a grip safety which makes it safer than the glock.

Just get the Glock 19 if you prefer it. Both guns are equally safe, and equally dangerous.

I would say handle both and decide. I have an XD, a friend has a stock 19. I'm not much of a plastic pistol fan, the XD pull was for me much smoother, easier and cleaner than the Glock.

I'm not a fan of Glock. But it would be crazy not to get the one you like better in your hands.
Get the Glock. If you don't like it, it will sell in days.
The XD is a harder sell.

Pick whichever one works for you, the one that points best for you that feels great in your hand while shooting.

The most important safety is the one between your ears, no amount of safeties will save you if you're not consistent about safety around firearms.

Get the Glock first, then add the XD as finances allow.
