1st handgun recommendation

Hi All,

I'm in the market for my 1st gun, so far I have narrowed down to CZ P-10C and Glock 19 Gen5. I'm a lefty and that's mainly why I selected those two.

Any other striker fired for a lefty suggestions?
Would love to get something cheaper on the roster but I don't see anything appealing for lefties.
Would a gun range have them for renting since they are not on the roster?
Any lefty feedback would be greatly appreciated.

1st handgun recommendation

I am a lefty. I shoot handguns with my right hand.

Jeez can you get either of those guns? The CZ is the new hotness right now but that slide stop is still a issue. The trigger is great and the after market growing.

The Gen 5 is noting special. Glock perfection plus. Get metal sights and you are golden. Aftermarket is akin to a galaxy of options.

If you can look into the M&P 2.0 or Walther PPQ. Roster wise the Sig 220, XD, Berretta PX4, CZ 75 compact, HK 2000 or USP, S&W SV9, Sig 226. These are all good guns!

If you still live in Commiefornia, you will not even be able to get a Gen5 Glock unless you know how to circumvent the roster. Do yourself a favor and quit believing the internet hype and just get a easily available Gen3 G19 and shoot the snot out of it.

I live in a free state and have handled and shot Gen5 Glocks and they really aren't anything special.

Most double action revolvers are right handed and most single action revolvers are left handed, but that Charter Arms Southpaw is cool.

Among others, be sure to check out the Springfield XD - inexpensive, reliable and pretty ambidextrous.

H&K VP9 is a great option for a lefty.

Im a lefty! Here is what I like.

H&K USP as you can very which variant you want and you can make it have an ambi safety selector. Also, has a large mag release which can be manipulated with shooting hand.

Sig 226 - I just picked one up and I like how I can hit the slide button with my left index finger as its not too far back

1911 - Ambi safety - slide release is a little harder.

CZ-75 great ergonomics and easy to shoot. Accurate too.

Glock 19 - pick it up, pull the trigger, it goes bang every time. No safety to swipe off. No grip safety to go wrong. Point and shoot. Had one for 20 years & it's always worked.

Not all strike fire - I apologize. I just chimed in which I like as a lefty. I do have a glock too, just not a HUGE fan.

I've owned Glock pistols since 1992. They're not the prettiest gal at the dance, but they're accurate and function every time . . . they just plain work.
