Glock Gen 3 slide on Gen 4 Frame

I'm hoping there are some Glock gurus that can help me figure something out. Is there a way to modify a Gen 3 slide assembly to work permanently with a Gen 4 frame? This would be a full size slide on a full size frame, no 19X building or anything like that. From what I can see, it looks like the frame is what's different, but maybe there's something I'm missing that someone with more knowledge than I could help with.

Not sure the reason you want to, but because of the P80, gen 3 slides are selling for more than gen 4.

My advice would be to sell the gen 3, buy a gen 4 for less or the same money and call it good.

IIRC the Gen3 slide will function fine in the Gen4, but not the other way around. There are adapter kits available to make it more aesthetically appealing also. I don't know how this affects Gen5 and 19X models with the 2 pin system.

This is what I was looking for, thank you. No, I'm looking to put a gen 3 17L slide on a gen 4 34 frame. Not looking to do anything crazy, I just prefer the larger magazine release but wanted to make sure it would work okay.

Yes you can put a gen3 slide on a gen4 frame. If you do it the other way around there will be a gap at the muzzle but some companies make a really expensive plug for your guide rod.

Correct. The larger slide and RSA will not fit (in general).
