    S&W M&P 2.0 Compact Sights

    Hello Fellow Calgunners!

I am seeking some input/advice on night sights for the S&W M&P 2.0 Compact. I have done some searches online, but could not find a clear-cut answer. I am also not as familiar with S&Ws as I am mostly familiar with Glock, Beretta, and 1911's (SA, Kimber). This is new, but exciting territory for me!

My question: is there a particular set of night sights that are specifically for the M&P 2.0 Compact? Or, are any night sight sets that say "For M&P and M&P Compact" compatible with the 2.0 Compact? From what I've researched so far (please correct me if I'm incorrect) is that the 2.0 Compact is the newest compact model from S&W (late 2017). Also, I've also noticed that were are sights for the M&P series and other sights specifically for the M&P Shield (perhaps analogous to Glock where night sights fit most models =, but the G42/G43 utilize a different size).

For example, would any of the following below be compatible with the newer 2.0 Compact?

Any help clarifying this would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks!

The new 2.0 models use the same sights as the gen 1 guns. The same goes for the mags.

I may be wrong, but I believe the 10rd mags for the M&P Compact are too short to fit the M&P 2.0 Compact. (The grip is longer on the 2.0). The only 10 round mags for the M&P 2.0 Compact are either blocked or full size 10 rd mags using the spacers that are included with the gun.

Correct. The gen 1 compacts are more like "sub compacts" and have a shorter grip than the 2.0 compacts which are more true to form for a compact sized gun. IIRC the gen 1 "compacts" had a 12 rd mag and the 2.0 compacts have a 15 round mag.

What I should have said is that you can use the gen 1 full size mags in the new FS and C models.

There is also currently a factory hi-vis sight option that can be ordered. They aren't glow in the dark, but are colored fiber optic. It's a small upcharge for them, usually $30.

This could also be another option! Thanks!
Glad to know there are quite a few routes for the 2.0 Compact.
