I'm in Virginia for work and I noticed there was a Cabela's about a mile from my hotel. I decided to take a visit, and I sort of wish I hadn't. It was almost depressing how affordable guns like the Sig Legion were. Ammo was so plentiful and affordable. Don't even get me started on high cap magazines.

Some guy was testing out a 229 legion and was like man $1,300 is pretty heavy I'm not sure. I stopped him and told him just to buy it because he has no idea. LOL

I was in your shoes a few years back. Make the escape, man. With the money you save in costs of living, you can fly to Hawaii and to Utah for the surfing and the skiing.

I experienced the same thing when I visited the Cabela's in Springfield Oregon.

They had more selection and ammo on display then I've seen in decades here in Commiefornia.

My new house in Idaho has a Cabelas about 7 miles away as well as a big Sportsmans Warehouse.

it really is a shock to the system

when i first moved to NV it took me almost a year to finally get rid of my bullet button - so used to having it i knew no other way

my first handgun purchase i was in and out the same day with my FNS 9C

it's a little weird at first, then you EMBRACE it, you really start to realize what you were missing out on all those years in CA - biggest regret so far is not doing this 5 years sooner

Went to Scheels today. They had a Legion and a Shadow 2 both for $1,200. You get to walk out with them too 👍
