Single Shot Conversion

[ppark]

I posted this somewhere else but this may be a better place to get a response.

Is there any restrictions on using my 1911 pistol to make it a single shot using a conversion kit like this for my own use http://www.nramt.com/index.html ?

You want to make your semi-auto into a single shot? why? but sure?

Buy a used TC Contender instead.

I like single shot pistols and already have a T/C encore pistol. I was intrigue by the single shot conversion referenced in my OP and was trying to determine if I can legally convert one. I don't know if I want to do this but was trying to see if it can be legally done.
