    Just got new 2011 pistol and is not sighted in yet. What distance do
    You guys sight in your pistols specifically for competitive shooting?

    What kind of shooting are you expecting to do?

    I would say, all kidding aside, either 50ft, or 25yd would be a good standard for a 5" 1911/2011 though

        I sight in at 25 yards. 3 gun and USPSA would not normally have shots much longer than that.

              10 yds would probably be most typical.
