    I've had it with inforce

I bought a pair of inforce lights about a year or so ago and in that time, i've gone through 4 lights...each one having some sort of problem.

The early gen 2 would have the pins holding the switch come out when shooting some guns. I eventually got a gen 3 and now i'm having issues with flickering. Sometimes the light will flicker to a lower power and in one of them...there was a consistent, subtle flicker at the moment of firing.

I've got to say that their warranty service is one of the best in the industry....they will replace anything for any reason without a question asked. In addition, their designs are amazing and what i consider one of the best in the industry as well. But until they can work out these flaws...i'm going to retire my lights to storage duty....

By the second failure I would have had those things in the trash can...

Is this the APL? What guns were you shooting when you were experiencing problems?

I killed two APL's when they first came out. Pins walking and poor quality components on the mount. I remember my second one being brand new and flying off my .45 halfway through the first magazine. It sat there flickering in front of the firing line until I could retrieve it. Inforce replaced it again and I just sold the new one they sent. They have a different and innovative style but when it comes to durability and reliability I will stick with the big names like Surefire and Streamlight. Sad to hear that not much has improved.

Don’t buy that junk. I got one because honestly it looked cool. Shot 200 rounds through a pistol and the light kept flickering. I took it off and used it as a target. For god sakes they have one very simple job.

                Garbage..

Bought the original APL back when they first came around. Design was flawed as it just had that small lever that tightend it down, which didn't tighten it enough, fit extremely loose on my pistols and wobbled around on the rail. I noticed the next version of the same light now has a screw you tighten down with a flat head, go figure.

Just recently bought the newest WML on a black friday sale. It kills batteries within a couple weeks just sitting in the gun safe....

Sure they look cool, but dont be fooled. The brand has nothing but crap reviews for a reason.

Man..i forgot to mention that as well...if you don't unscrew the cap...the batteries tend to die within short order. This doesn't happen on all of them...its been 50/50 for me.

Honestly..i wish they'd figure out this stuff because their design is super intuitive and their prices are decent as well.

For now...as much as i hate to say it...i'm going to have to go with surefire. My main beef with sf is their prices are very high and their customer service is nothing like it used to be....i've had multiple issues in recent years trying to get things fixed by them....you really get the feeling they just don't give a damn anymore about their everyday customers....

But...as far as handgun lights go...i haven't been able to find anything that comes close to what they make.

Why do people continue to buy such junk? They appear to be priced equally with the Streamlight TLR-1HL, which is a great light. Surefire lights are great, but also nearly 2x the price.

I like their WML. I’ve had a Gen 1 for a couple of years and now a Gen 2. I don’t go to war and have only used them for night classes and indoor shoots.

Thought it was just me with a few issues. Had the APL that had flickering issues. Have since sold them all off. Only Surefire for me.

Plus one on the Tlr-HL, never ever had an issue, rain, shine, snow, always always works

I have a gen 3 APL on my G17 and I have 3 APLC's (2 G19's and a M2.0C) put hundreds maybe 1k through each one and they all work perfect still, no issues
