Manufacture Date

Does anybody know how I can find out when my Sig P245 was manufactured? Is there a serial number list out there somewhere? I emailed Sig but it usually takes them a week or so to respond. Thanks...Brian

Here's the info I was told years ago about dating Sig's. Maybe someone else has a more definitive answer.

2 letters are stamped on the front lower part of the slide next to the proof stamps and indicates the 2 last digits of the year of production.

A=0
B=1
C=2
D=3
E=4
F=5
G=6
H=7
J=8
K=9

Well I didnt find anything on the slide but there ia a "KJ" on the barrel next to 3 German proofs. That would make it a 98 according to the chart. Or would that be just when the Barrel was made?
