    Glock P19 Stripped slide

What do you guys think of this? Is it worth the $$? I'm not glock guy, but I do own a G19 gen 3. Mine is a plain jane, so I'm thinking about spicing it up a bit. But at $450, I'm not sure if that's worth the $$$. I like the fact that it has the Trijicon RMR red dot plate w/ cover.

I'm in the same boat, there's another thread with a better deal:

This slide isn't milled for RMR, which defeats the purpose. There is a rear sight adaptor
available that fits in the rear sight cut

I can't say if it's worth the price, but it seems to be in line with other makes. I paid a bit less for my Zev slide, which has run flawlessly with factory barrel and internals. I like that Zev mills the RMR cut a bit lower than most, so the bottom of the glass sits flush with the slide. They also have pillars for the RMR to slide on to for an extra secure fit. Here's a link to my Zev RMR for some reference.

If you're gonna run an aftermarket slide, decide which combination of factory vs aftermarket parts you will use to complete it, and do your research from there. The more aftermarket parts you use potentially decreases the reliability if not done correctly. Nothing wrong with milling your factory slide if you just want the option for an RMR/Optic...

I wouldn't spend $450 on any glock slide. If you're dead set on optics I would sell the gen 3 and buy a Gen 4 MOS.

This^^^ I have one and I paid 165$ shipped when they went on sale with an added coupon code. Best bang for the buck in my opinion.

I forgot about the Brownells slides, definitely worth considering. RMR cut/depth looks very similar to Zev, along with the pillars. The only reason I passed was the supposed incompatibility with some holsters due to the lack of radius. That may not be an issue for you.

I like the idea of an MOS if you can find one for a decent price, and especially if you plan to use an optic other than an RMR. Because the MOS system uses adapter plates, your optic will sit higher, which can make sight acquisition awkward. Even a low cut RMR takes getting used to. There's an optic called a JPoint that seems tailor made for the MOS. It has a rear sight notch cut into it that allows co-witnessing with factory (height) sights, which may help counteract the added height of the optic.

One thing to keep in mind though, you can easily sell a factory Gen 3 (17/19) slide and put the funds toward an aftermarket slide if you feel like going that route.

I ordered the brownells polymer 80 blade-tech holster which fits both types of slides (OEM and aftermarket), RMR's, and suppressor sights. When i purchsed them they had them for 32$.

I’d either get it milled or buy from an established company who what’s been vetted through use. A budget/no name slide is asking for trouble.

I’d avoid window cuts etc as well unless it’s a fun gun only.

I have a zev trilo slide (no cuts) that is very well made and reliable. All glock internals. RMR mounted very well.
