RUGER SP101 in 9mm availability

Even though it is on the CA roster, I haven't been able to locate one of these in my area (Southern CA). Anyone know when LGSs will start stocking them..?

My LGS usually doesn't stock any new models. If you really want a specific model you can ask them to order one.

$480 @ Grab a Gun HERE. Plenty of socal FFLs that will do a $25 transfer. Considering Turner's is going to want $630 for it you might as well grab it now without the wait and save $100

Thanks for the info. That is a great price. But as far as I know, FFLs in Southern California are charging $75 + tax for out of state transfers.

Ace's Pawn in Covina has been doing $25 transfer for years. I'm going to order that SP101 in 9mm and get it shipped there.

I've been using Ace's pawn in Covina for years. Price is $25. Recently started using Redfield Armory in Brea, also $25. These are just two local to me. Carol Watson's (OC Auction) also used to be $25 but recently raised the price to $35.

Any local gunshop is going to want substantially more than $480 and you're gonna be on the hook for tax and DROS either way. The ONLY additional costs you will incur buying it online are the $25 xfer fee and $8 for shipping. No idea why so many CalGunners seem to be hesitant to buy online.

Not trying to be argumentative, I just think it's harder to find a "local" FFL in socal (socal is a large area) that charges $25 (or even $35) than you think.
You may have a couple that are reasonably close to you, but I think that most of us don't.

For someone who likes the 9mm round better than 38/357.

Maybe they already have 9mm semi auto, and wants to have a small revolver with the same ammo...

As far as moon clips? Faster to load a revolver than speed loaders.

You also dont need to use the moon clips with them from the videos I've seen. Although not sure the hate, they are super fast
