Went to Tracy Rifle and Pistol to try out some new .357 loads.
While I was there I shot a Desert Eagle (50AE and 44Mag) and a S&W500.
The sound dampening inside of that range is EXCELLENT!

Sometimes I go for accuracy, but sometimes I just want to see a big old fireball shooting from the muzzle...is that so wrong?
Anyway, here's some slow motion video of the fire created.

How about you? Anyone else that just enjoys shooting a large caliber from time to time??

Somewhere I have a freeze frame from a slow motion video shooting my 460s&w. There is a perfect halo of Fire about 2 foot diameter and approximately 5 feet in front of the muzzle.

Ahhhh yes, that Federal must be loaded with some slow burning powder, makes a great flash! It's what I shoot from my 223's as well for just that reason.

Desert Eagles are a lot of fun. Just this Monday I took a friend of mine to the local range (Rainbow) for a "sampler" - fill out a large Pelican case with all sorts of guns, from tiny 360PD revolver to DE in 50 AE.

When we shot it, everyone stopped and the conversation started. I let everyone who wanted to shoot try a round or two. The smiles on their faces are priceless.

That's what good old human interaction is all about - conversation, smiles, good times.
