    RIA M206

I saw this on sale at Turners last week for $200. I normaly dont buy cheap guns but the crude and roughness of how cheap and poorly fitted the gun is made me want one. I couldn't resist. Anyone else have one of these?

I suppose it's better than nunchucks.

I had one a few years back. I sold it, not because the was anything wrong with it, it just didn't serve much purpose for me. A nice copy of a detective special, just less refined than the original. I think you'll be happy with your gun, it is well made and should serve you well. I think I'd still own mine if the finish was a nice glossy blue instead of parked.

        Pretty solid review here.

The RIA M206 is ugly but it will serve you well like GLOCKs.

Other than that, ARMSCOR USA has excellent customer service.

I saw this at a local LGS for around $250 and almost bought it as a first revolver to learn with. Let us know how it shoots!

If you've want to go low budget on a new handgun, I think a revolver might be a better choice .

I'm not putting down other supposedly reliable semi-automatic inexpensive semi automatic handguns (like Hi-Points) but having personally experience the non-reliability of a few of the "ring of fire" type cheap/ pot metal semi-automatics, I think something like this low-cost Rock Island Armory revolver (or possibly the European made Windicator ) is a better way to spend a low-budget gun purchase. ...

If there is some type of real reason that's keeping you from saving up and getting something a little more refined

              ... like a Glock.

I picked one up as well. It is rough on the inside, lots of tool marks, but it seems solid. Double action is fairly smooth, will probably break in with use. Single actions is great. Solid lockup and timing is perfect for all cylinders. My only other revolver is a Taurus Tracker, also not the best, but the Tracker is definitely better made. That being said, for $240 out the door, it's worth the price. Taking it out Saturday for a test run. Have to see if I'm tough enough for the wood grips, or if I'll have to wimp out for the larger plastic grips.

I have one. I like to tinker and I got a great deal on it, so I figured why not. It's rough, but has been 100% thus far.

I’d be a sucker for one, but I haven’t seen one local in quite a few years.

Buying a safe and sane firework is like paying a hooker for a hug. I do not see the appeal in it.

I have one. Haven't had any problems with it yet. About 500 rounds through it. It is on my CCW License. I carry it when I go backpacking/camping. I figure I won't cry too much if I fall into a river or something...
