Great Customer Warranty all right. Too bad very few even consider getting the gun to shoot properly in the 1st place. Looks like a delivery service merger called, Fed-UPs is working on a plastic pistol conspiracy.
Even Glock had striker issues in the early 80s. Glock fixed the flaw and the rest is history.
It is a shame that those that copy Glock have the same or similar striker design flaws and haven't yet followed Glock's lead getting the primer ignition issue addressed properly.
Calm down, I'm no spokesman for Glock, just referencing my long term memory on the facts and not some hit piece on plastic pistols.Comment

I shot mine for the first time Saturday, I never even looked at the casing. A couple hundred rounds and never had a problem.I pledge allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America, and to the Republic for which it stands, one Nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.Comment

Always a good idea to call Springfield first, the best answer you'll get is from them.
Here on Calguns, you'll get some really good advice from guys with experience, and some really bad info as well...just an FYI
Again, welcome to Calguns, enjoy the ride! It's not the fall that kills you, it's the sudden stop at the bottom.Comment

I suggest you tell them it's unacceptable and ask for an elite operator in exchangewhile (bullets > 0 && target == 1){fire == 1;}Comment

I just got done putting the first rounds through my new XD9 and can confirm it does have primer smear as well. Also had one non-lockout on the last round.
The non-lockout I've experienced on a couple of new XDs and that issue seems to clear up after 500-1000 rounds so I think it's just the recoil spring being tight with lower grain ammo.while (bullets > 0 && target == 1){fire == 1;}Comment

Also could be weak loads or thumb riding the slide release. But yeah sa springs are much stiffer when new which is a good thing.I just got done putting the first rounds through my new XD9 and can confirm it does have primer smear as well. Also had one non-lockout on the last round.
