Hi All,
Long story short, after having the shot the Glock 17, 4th Gen. and having a lot fun, I decided I wanted one.
I started doing the research and realized because I live in Calif. it was not going to happen. Disappointing to say the least, but I digress, I'll do what I can while I live here and vote, until I am able to move out of state.
So... just getting into Glocks (have only owned a few handguns and mainly been a Long Rifle bolt action person) I am just learning and doing searches on the forum. I just burnt up two hours in what seemed like 10 mins. That said I started thinking, maybe a 3rd Gen would be easier? My father lives out of state and guns laws are not absurd like they're in Calif.
Question: If my father buys a Glock 17, 3rd Gen. in Montana, Idaho (he's a resident) can he gift transfer the 3rd Gen. to me without having to dumb it way down?
I'm researching online but posting in the forum is always a helpful method to compliment my research efforts, so here I am and I appreciate any feedback. Am thinking someone will be able to easily explain that is well versed or can point me in the right direction so that I can further my research efforts on what options I have, or in short, knows if it's even worth it?
Thanks,
M
