Safariland holster compatibility

My pistol collection is growing. Does anyone use a safariland 7ts series for a glock 17 or something similar BUT the holster will fit your other handguns?

I feel like the holster's friction tolerances are looser because it relies on the retention system, thus it should fit more models of guns for ONE holster.

If all else fails, i'll just snag a GLS pro-fit. But I want an ALS.

I have one for a glock 34. It will fit the following pistols: glock 26(loose but locks on place), glock 19, m&p 9, and 91fs. I haven’t tried other pistols. I have the 6395.

i bought a GLS pro fit and returned it. i could not get the retention to work well on any of my guns.

i use safariland ALS whenever possible. when that's not available, i buy or make a kydex holster. yes, this requires buying multiple holsters, but at least i know they are going to work well.

GLS is/are no bueno. I found my gun not being held by the retention mechanism. It was sitting on top of the retention thingy and could have easily fallen out. It gets disengaged easily if you bump up against something, scoot back in a chair, etc.

Interesting. I have an earlier version of GLS and it works pretty well for a wide range of pistols. It just has to be properly adjusted.

The only problem I had with GLS is that the locking mechanism can get "engaged" without the gun in the holster (weak spring or so), so the gun cannot be inserted until the tab inside the holster is manually pushed out of the way with a finger. When this happens, it does feel like GLS isn't working, though...

I might get one and it should fit my m&p 5 inch 2.0, my p10c, and I'll see if it's going to fit my vp9.

Do you know if you had the one for weapon lights, would it retain a pistol without a light?

Safariland says their 7ts would.

Yep. The one i have is for the glock 34 /w a M3 light.

It will fit any of the handguns i listed w/o a flashlight. Also, if you guys the one with the M3 light attachment it'll fit surefires and streamlights.

Holstering a firearm with no light won't be as smooth, but it'll retain them just fine.

I heard they came out with the new model, but I have no experience with them. They still produce both new and older models.
