I picked up this mint second year (2014) production M45A1 today off of Gunbroker for what I thought was a okay deal. After being bummed that I missed out on one of the decommissioned USMC M45A1's that were sold in April of this year and being unwilling to pay the $3000++ that they are currently selling for, I decided to buy a civilian version. I got this one for about 1/3 the price of the decommissioned pistols. It still has the original box with all the stuff they come with new, including two eight round Wilson Combat magazines.
What is nice about these is that they are produced on the same production line as the military guns. What I especially like is that all the military markings are retained except they have "M45A1" roll marked on the slide instead of "USMC'.
These are pictures from the seller as it won't be here until Wednesday.
Trijicon sights dated 2013, first year these pistols were produced. Seller assures me they are still bright.
Exact same frame markings as is on the issued USMC pistols
Pretty much zero wear on the factory national match barrel.
This is going to be no safe queen. I'm bringing a couple hundred rounds with me when I pick it up and I intend to give it a good break in.
