Old history on Beretta 92fs? "Old"? How does a 92fs and the word 'History' go together? When I was in we didn't have M9, we still had 1911A1s. Come to think of it, we didn't have M249 or Humvees either.

I'm a huge Beretta fan, so put me in the 1% that cares. Everything you've told us just says that it's a run-of-the-mill, early-production 92FS. The straight dust cover and lack of lawyer-engraving on the frame don't necessarily mean that it's an Italian gun; it just means that it's early-production.

Your serial number is from 1998, btw.

If it is Italian then you'll have the proper marking from this table on your frame:
