    LCP II Range Report

Well I got a new LCP II, thought I'd pass on a short range report.
I've had an original LCP for a number of years now, love it.
Today I ran 100+ rounds of Win White Box 380 through it.
For me, the sites are hard to see, my eyes not so good any more for the arms reach distance against a target background, the rear/front is almost indistinguishable, so I had to condition myself for that, took a mag or two for that. The trigger is much improved, I really like that. It locks back on last round now, which is nice. Overall I like the way it shoots. One problem I had is EVERY mag full (loaded at 6, rack slide, leaving 5) of WWB it fired the first chambered round then the next round did not chamber completely, I'd remove mag and round, load round back into mag, load it up, rack the slide and it fired fine for the remaining rounds. It did the same thing using my original LCP mags too. It did NOT fail to chamber on my Hornady critical defense rounds from an original LCP mag, which I'm happy with. I'll have to grab all my LCP mags and a few diff ammo brands and go to the range again and see if it does the same on other 380 flavors.
I'm thinking of what I can do with the sites to help myself.
Any others have the same experience with the fail to feed?

I have an original LCP and have never had a malfunction other than the first round needing some assistance in getting it to chamber (a little push on the slide).
    Looking forward to more responses..

My son has one and had no issues with it on its first time to the range. I think he was using Federal and/or Remington ammo.

        LCP II Range Report

Dang, for 380 I don't think I have anything other than WWB, I'll have to find some federal.
Maybe I'll see what the next AZ gun show has for 380. I'll buy some for my daughter and she can buy me some
Hey hog, if you read this, can I grab some of your perfecta??

Perfecta .380 is where it's at. I run it all day in my Sig 238. Pretty sure it's manufactured by Fiocchi

Perfecta is marketed by Fiochi, but I believe it is Turkish. I was just going to say that I hear that Tripper's issue is common with the Sig p238. I am not sure what the fix is but it may involve polishing the feed ramp.

I broke in my Lcp II with perfecta ammo only. 750 rounds to be exact not a single issue so far. Love the new upgrades.

I have LCP v2 (not II) and I painted the front sight with 2-stage Birchwood Casey gunsight pens. It made a huge difference and has held up very well to a lot of carry.

The pic in indoor light doesn't do it justice - it is dayglo orange and glows bright outside.

I was thinking something along those lines

The perfecta is no longer available, I think hog said it was discontinued, but he got a bunch of it while they had it. I'm gonna try to get it from him, I'll also try fiochi branded

Use (orange or green ) bright nail polish on front sight post so you can aim easy.

Oh, even with my issue with the sites, I still shot it better than the gen1, I think the better trigger attributed to that.

I'm gonna try to get out to Markleys Sunday, or maybe a weekday. I'm taking a bunch of sporadic days off for the rest of the year (vacation to burn)
