Now that the Shadow 2 has been out for awhile, I'd like to hear what people think and feel about how it shoots compared to a Cajun Gun Works tuned SP-01 or also a CZ Custom Accu-Shadow. Is the Shadow 2 worth upgrading to?

How does a CZ Shadow 2 compare with a CGW SP-01?

I have both shadow 2 and CGW Sp-01, the shadow 2 is definitely worth the upgrade. The shadow 2 grip (checking, undercut, etc) is much better than sp-01 frame, where it allows for a much higher grip so follow up shots are much quicker.
The shadow 2 is also heavier by 6 oz, I know it doesn't sound like a lot, but handling it feels much heavier and the recoil impulse feels better.
The factory trigger on the shadow 2 is not as good as the CGW SP-01, but a quick polish and slight change in the sear angle will yield similar results as the CGW SP-01, not as good but similar. Alternatively you can always drop the CGW hammer and sear in the shadow 2 and have a much better overall pistol than the CGW SP-01.
Hope that helps.Comment

The feel of the S2 is so much better. Once you have it in your hands and then shoot you will know the different. Yes the trigger is not better but you can always upgrade. The liberal see's the glass as half full and tries to take more.
The conservative see's glass as half empty and tries to keep it that way.
I'm with the people on the side just pouring water in the glass trying to get a drink!Comment

I'm really regretting clicking on this thread.
I own a couple Cajun-equipped SP-01s. I've been given the opportunity to buy an S2, at a price well below what most people are listing them for here, but still quite high nonetheless. I'd almost convinced myself it's not worth it.
*sigh*Comment

That's where I've been, mentally, lately.
Shadow 2 sounds great, but picking one up for $2400-2600 is crazy....at least in MY mind
I paid double free-state price for my last gun....went on an internet forum for info and have to keep seeing the free-state prices shoved in my face. Ouch

You guys know you can get a stock Tac Sport and send it to CZC for a masterpiece, right? Like this:

Buy a stock TS from CZC, DROS it under your name, send it back to Stuart.
Same thing with a 75B SA, etc...
Then the question becomes, which is better, a stock S2 or a CZC CTS.sigpic

Why that pic? A stock TS has a full dust cover and looks nothing like the CTS pictured. Can the dust cover be cut to look like the CTS?. Edit, after taking another look, that dust cover was cut? My new dilemma, send my TS or SA? Can't imagine my TS stock trigger getting any better and sure don't want the pull any lighter. You guys know you can get a stock Tac Sport and send it to CZC for a masterpiece, right? Like this:

Yes, the frame is heavily "massaged". Dust cover cut, grip reduction done, etc.Why that pic? A stock TS has a full dust cover and looks nothing like the CTS pictured. But patience it takes, says Yoda.
I bet CZC can increase the trigger pull if you wish. Send both.sigpic
