    Beretta 92FS Compact Type M

Always been a hammer fired polymer framed kinda guy but then I bought a cz75 pre b and now I'm into metal framed as well. I was just browsing on the roster and saw that this one is still listed. The 8 round magazine capacity does not bother me I was just wondering if anyone has one and wants to share their experience with it. Kinda interested in picking one up if I can find one for sale. What do yall think?

I like mine, have a 92FS and couple 92FS centurions and the Type M. The type M feels best in my hands. They pop up here from time to time. Mags are expensive if you can find them.

I bought a 92FC new in 1991, still one of my favorites among my compact 9mm's.

            Unicorns found

Don't have any FS, but I do have a SB and SBC type M. both are Italian made. Love that blue finish.

I will keep on the lookout for one. Hopefully beretta will renew it so I can still put funds into ammo till the end of the year

The "M" type does nothing for me. I'd much rather have the standard compact...preferably in a "G" configuration. I hear mags are pretty expensive on the M's...and as hard to find as the pistol. But I've never tried looking for them so perhaps I don't know what I'm talking about.

If I were you I would try to find the Beretta 92 platform unicorn: The Beretta 92 Centurion. It its essentially the full size 92 frame with the compact barrel / slide. I found one, NIB and brought it in state under the old SSE. I dont shoot it but balance wise and looks, its far superior to the full size 92 / M9 as well as the "stubby" compact.

+1 for the Centurion. My father in law left one with me to do the standard "D" spring, polish and short reach trigger. I discovered a bunch of Wilson parts and went nuts. He took it back and has left a huge hole in my stable. I have the 92fs A-1, and the newer M9 compact but really want another blued Centurion.

I had one that I did not care for and prefer the full size 92fs. One of the stupidest things I have done was to sell it, the prices of those along with the mags have gone way up.
