I was picking up my Sig at Turner's yesterday and saw a 238 on sale for $499. I was dieing to put a 30 day deposit on it right there and then but after all the ammo orders and the Sig I think I need to cool it for a while.

Besides, being in LA county I can't get a CCW permit so the only time I could "use" it would be when I'm out of state and I already have 3 CCW for those times but man I really liked the feel of it.

Oh well, maybe next year...

Just got mine and it's bigger brother, the P938, back from Sig; where they upgraded the MSH, etc. Now my extended mags don't accidently drop out! OP, I would get one at that price! Sell your blood if you have to!

My daughter got one a few years ago...liked it so much ended up with one myself. My brother-in-law did the same for CCW in SC.

The Sig P238 is nice. It has some issues that are fixable and I have been tempted to get one if I didn't already have a DA/SA that I love but is just too large for concealed carry in hot weather and I don' want to mix DA/SA and SA. Hence I am looking into getting the P290RS, which is not only DA but 9 mm.

But I wouldn't tell anyone not to get a P238. I look at one almost every time I am at a Turners. But if I did go 238 I might step up to the HD.

I have an HD and I really like it. I've carrying it (CCW) rather than any of my 9's. I then bought a P238 TSS (TuTone) which is lighter but I prefer shooting the HD. I might sell the TSS and buy another HD.

I used to carry the P239 but now it just sits in my safe. It is a good pistol though.
