    Looking for a 9mm...

I'm looking for a steel framed SA/DA 9mm and have narrowed my choices down to an M9 and a CZ SP01 based on literature. I still have to shoot both before making a final decision. Could you CZ owners please elaborate on the allure of the SP01... What is it that makes it so desirable..?!?!

Well M9 isn't on roster so it looks like the CZ is the way to go.

Affordable, all steel, reliable, accurate, minimal recoil/great follow up shot potential, lot of customizing available. The stock trigger gets better and better with more rounds. I love it. If you want a CZ with an incredible trigger out of the box take a look at the TS too. They sell between $12-$1300.

Both are great pistols. The CZ has a slightly better trigger system, the m9 is easier to maintain. The beretta locking block is a known point of failure, the CZ will be more expensive to upgrade. The m9 has a fixed front sight post, the CZ's have dovetail cuts. Plenty of differences, still very much a personal preference to decide which is better. The tactical sport is not a regular CZ, it's something special, also it's damn heavy.

              M9 is on the roster.

I personally like the SP-01 trigger a lot more. The SA on the M9 is OK, but the DA pull was a deal killer on mine. Waaay too heavy

                  +1 on the CZ SP-01.

Great platform to build on or stay stock.

Kadet .22 adapter for the CZ is also pretty cool.

                        Cz all the way.
When I was buying my first I was dead set on the 92fs/m9.
Then a tried a cz. The Grip angle and trigger feel are what made my decision

I think the M9/92-FS may be a little lighter due to the alloy frame. Both are great guns. You could step up on the Beretta side to a 92G-SD which is a little heavier due to the slide but has a dovetailed front sight, Trijicon night sights, front rail and a match barrel. My CZ is a 75B-SA in 40. Also very nice with a great trigger. Both are very accurate. To me it is almost the "do I want chocolate or strawberry ice cream today" as I love both. Either choice is good and will satisfy you. As I already own the FS, G-SD and a PX-4 in the Beretta camp and the 75 in the CZ side I have been thinking about another CZ. If you get one then save for the other and make yourself twice as happy
I'd agree with you but then we'd both be wrong...

Kadet, yes CZ has Kadet as hidden gem.
incredibly accurate same as other straight blow back 22LR guns
do not compare to other conversion kit
