    Sig P220 Combat trigger

Bought a P220 Combat a while ago and it came with the short reach trigger. I had my gunsmith install a regular trigger and an SRT kit.

Shoots great but the trigger (where I place my finger) has some lateral play in it. None of my other Sigs have this. It wiggles back and forth and my OCD nature is bothered by it. It doesn't affect function but was wondering what's going on. Is there a way adjust this? Is the trigger tolerance off somehow? When the Combat had the short reach trigger, it did not have this play.

Any ideas? Anyone witness this on their own Sigs?

Btw, my gunsmith moved so no bringing it back to him. Was thinking of shipping it to Sig but not sure it's worth it at this point.

Some trigger play side to side is normal. One of my P229's has it worse than any other Sig that I own. I have replaced the trigger pin, trigger and locking insert and there is no change. It's just the way some of them are.

What trigger did you replace it with? I assume a new MIM trigger- its the one with the material missing from the rear of the trigger. Try and find one of the older forged triggers and compare.

Thanks, good tip. Yes, it was a brand new standard trigger so I'm assuming it was an MIM one. Didn't look at it closely, just gave it to the smith
