SP2022 and red dot sight installation

    Hi all

First time creating a post on here. Recently I have sent my Sig Sauer SP2022 to L&M have the red dor sight installed. and I have just received the package last Friday. Everything seems fine except the red dot sight is completely blokcing the rear iron sight, and I tried to use the middle line to line up with the front iron sight for shooting and it is not working at all.

I contacted L&M, and Mark from L&M told me that there's no way to have mill the slide any lower because it was limited by the firing pin block plunger and spring. So now it seems like the only thing I can do now is to use the red dot sight from now on, or using an iron sight that is tall enough....Any suggestions guys?

sights...plural. You need to change both the front and rear to 'suppressor height'

How far do you plan to shoot. If close distances, why not try turning the optic off and try point shooting through the glass by itself. I bet whatever you see in through the glass will get it if fired at close ranges.

SP2022 and red dot sight installation

I had L&M do two Sigs for me (P226 and P220) and had them install suppressor sights and they co-witness nicely.

I'm surprised Mark did not explain this to the OP since they sell these suppressor sights and installing them when fitting pistols with red dots are routine.

OP, shop around for Ameriglo suppressor sights and have someone install them for you if you don't have a sight pusher. This will take care of your problem
