Help Identify 9mm Goverment

Hey all,

Bought this 9mm Goverment a while back. Can't find any info on it anywhere. Not on Colt's website, not on Talo's website. 9mm Govermement model, made to look similar to original issue 1911's.

I'm looking for a website to link to, and an approximate value (I'm going to sell it locally).

Fairly low round count: I've fired 130 rounds Federal 147 gr HST, 140 rounds Remington UMC with no issues (I kept a log of every round fired and if there were any issues).

gunbroker lists about 900 but probably on the high side since they were being cleared out at 640. In CA though it's anyone's guess

Close, but the grips and MSH is different.

EDIT: Also, the right side of the 1911 does not have markings (i.e. Colt Government Model), which makes me wonder if it's some kind of special edition deal.

I see what you mean, could be an earlier production model?

I would list for $1500 or so here. It is a rare gun even out of state

I haven't. I'll have to wait until Monday to do so. In the meantime, I'm hoping folks here on the web can help me out before then.

I don't think it's listed in the handgun roster, and since I am out of state, I cannot ship it to anyone in CA.

Or have the rules changed since I left CA?

EDIT: Damn, Colt's not even listed on the CA DOJ handgun roster!

The SKU is O1992 (oh 1992) not zero 1992. A lot of people get that twisted. You will have the best luck searching by SKU. Good luck!

The MSH also has a lanyard loop too. The original owner wanted to make it look like USGI WWII. About $750 in a 'free state'.
