    Shield Barrel Replacement?

    Hello all

I have a shield 9mm. I would like to do a barrel upgrade. But Apex Tactical doesn't make one for the shield only the M&P.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sKz9QarKa80 is the video I watched and learned from.

Suggestions? Companies that can be trusted? Is it worth it?

If not, can an Armscor RIA TAC Ultra CS (9mm) be bought in CA?

Don't do it. It's not worth it at all.
The shield doesn't have the issues the 1st gen full size guns had with inconsistent groups.

Lone Wolf's website says the new convention barrels are "non CA compliant".
Legality aside, will these new conversion barrels work in a CA version of the Shield? Might one need to remove the loaded chamber indicator to make it fit properly?

Edit: For the purpose of clarity, I mean the new Wolf conversion barrels that will allow you to shoot 9mm out of a Shield that was originally chambered to shoot 40.

Non-CA compliant could mean one of two things:

          1 - Threaded barrels
2 - They are made with the "bulls eye" 49-state method of checking to see if the chamber is loaded, rather than being cut for the sharkfin.

#2 can be taken care of by cutting the leading edge of the sharkfin so it does not extend past the breech face (I'm assuming this is not a carry gun so the modification would not pose any issues)

Search for True on instagram they have beautiful replacement options though the full lci on the cali model can be an issue. Just doubt its worth the 160 to 190. Doing lci delete, mag disconnect, and apex trigger internals along with sights to mine I just picked up

Why do you need a different barrel?

If the stock barrel is a POS, return the gun.

You won't see any improvement. Your shield has a great barrel and is very accurate for such a small gun.

Why it's the Indian not the arrow....

Work on making the Indian better because the arrow is fine.

This indian shoots fine. The spread is more than any of my other pistols. The trigger is horrendous.

I'm sure you can find someone that replaced their barrel immediately to buy from. Trigger is horrendous. Get an apex or monarch

Trigger is fine after it breaks in.
Apex is nice, but not required.
